I love how art connects people. This drawing took 4 hours on site and 3 after doing the clean up on the background. It was a tall task to do on site, but hey that's what the customer asked for!
Gotta have a plan!

Here is a group of people that were celebrating Lolly's 90th in Melbourne Beach last week. I took the tablet with me and drew them all live. They were all super intrigued by the tablet idea and I became the night -long entertainment for the kids. Even the teens spent half the night just watching me draw. I love how art connects people. This drawing took 4 hours on site and 3 after doing the clean up on the background. It was a tall task to do on site, but hey that's what the customer asked for! The prelim. drawing of Lolly and ideas on spacing out the 25 + people. Gotta have a plan! Immediate Family Only here... All 26 People in one! Yeah I know some are missing bodies :)

JUst finished a Studio piec of a veteran boat designer/ builder. Party was last night.
The picture was well received and a great reminder to all he had accomplished and surrounded himself with over the years. A true fore-runner when it comes to making boating what is is today. This is your typical fisherman, Much invested and little to show for it other than stories of the ones that got away! LOL. His Sister commissioned me to draw this for his birthday. Just completed. I like the dark and light contrast and use of color more than most of my drawings. I often stay away from darker backgrounds and bold colors and even this one is a bit tame. Line work is improving as I learn to use the Wacom Cintiq 21". Comments please?!
Thanks for a wonderful 2009! We are so grateful for all of the support, encouragement and gig from the past year. We look forward to growing in 2010 and announcing many exciting plans! All the best on 2010. Sincerely, Ryan and Family!
Caricatures by Ryan has been super busy over the Christmas/ Holiday Season drawing at corporate events, private parties and doing a ton of studio work. Here are some snapshots of the month. See you in 2010!
Well after 9 hours of "work" I am now done with one major studio piece and on to the next one... and the night's so young... it is only 12:01am... Artists thrive at these hours! Not me... that's why I'm blogging and updating my site. Maybe its procrastination. Maybe this is my sick rendition of "downtime". In any case here is a fun caricature on a Sea Ray 330 for a super cool and a bit crazy couple that I am about to meet face to face in a few days and draw at their reception. Should be fun as the bride is totally fun and creative! Enjoy.
It's time to stand out from the Hallmark's of this world! Do something unique and fun for once people!
